WB Transport is the first local business in the Southern Highlands to financially support the 2022 NSBL Tournament with K3000.

Part of the WB group of companies includes WB Merchandise and WB Apparel.

WB Transport is a subsidiary of the WB Group and we specialize in renting and leasing vehicles, currently in NCD.

This is a Southern Highlands business and we encourage Southern Highlanders not to work against each other, but to work as a team in support of NSBL,” says John Kongoi, Managing Director of WB Transport System.

He said the rebranding of NSBL to have a framework in place and programs to reach communities is commendable.

Kongoi said it was important for young children to play basketball as well as mothers, fathers and their children.

“It’s encouraging and we’ve just started and we see that NSBL has the potential to support our communities.

Kudos to NSBL Patron Johnny Yawari and President Silas Nicky for having the foresight in such programs,” he said.

The 2022 NSBL tournament under the theme ‘attitude is everything’ will see a good number of teams turn up to play each other over the Easter long weekend (April 15-18) at the Sir John Guise Stadium in Port Moresby .

“We thank WB Transport for the sponsorship,” Nicky said.

“NSBL is not just a tournament. We have decided that by next year we have to enter a pro league.

We’ve been playing the tournament for 15 years and we’re trying to get back to all the districts and communities and grow the game.

It is optimistic to see other businesses and businesses in the Southern Highlands supporting such schemes.
“Thank you WB Transport, however you supported us, it will go a long way,” Nicky said.
