  • The brand, which launched exclusively online in March 2022, uses materials like recycled bottles and everyday waste to create its activewear line.
  • “As an eco-luxury activewear and loungewear brand, N3YH’s passion is invested in ensuring they do their part in the sustainable slow fashion revolution,” says a press release.

Sportswear and leisurewear brand Eco-lux N3YH has introduced a new range of clothing that is “both fashionable and durable”.

“This brand combines eco-friendliness and fashion to create comfortable yet stylish outfits,” a press release explains.

The company launched exclusively online in March 2022, with sportswear and loungewear produced ethically and locally in Cape Town.

N3YH is part of the new “slow fashion” movement that is taking the fashion industry by storm. The movement seeks to counter the damage caused by the “fast fashion” industry by respecting the environment, animals, people and avoiding things like mass production, which leads to large amounts of waste.

“As an eco-luxury sportswear and loungewear brand, N3YH’s passion is invested in ensuring they do their part in the sustainable slow fashion revolution. Consumers of the brand can be proud to buy and wear thoughtful clothing that considers nature, well-being and future longevity,” the statement read.

N3YH Founder Tanja Merlo explains the brand’s ethos: “We aim to make sustainability fashionable. Our strong commitment to sustainable, slow fashion is a central pillar of the N3YH brand as we strive to protect our planet by reducing textile waste, water consumption and CO2 emissions with our partner factories, and in general in everything we do.”

N3YH’s activewear line, available in several different prints and styles, is made from eco-friendly materials like recycled plastic bottles and other everyday waste.

To limit waste, the brand makes scrunchies from leftover pieces of fabric.

For their loungewear, they use a soft, bio-based bamboo fabric.
