The Southern Fleurieu Film Society (SFFS) is a community group that shows films once a month in Goolwa and Milang, but starting in February next year, it will be expanding its reach to Victor Harbor.
The SFFS season 2022 kicks off on Monday, November 29 at the new location, the Victa Cinema.
Thanks to the Adelaide Film Festival, there will be a free screening of the film produced by SA Your old faithful from 6:30 p.m., followed by a question and answer with the film’s director, Heather Croall.
This film won the Audience Award at the 2021 Adelaide Film Festival.
The SFFS has regularly screened films since 2013.
Its main objectives are to promote cinema as an art form and to encourage social interaction between members.
Membership is required to attend regular SFFS screenings, and there is no door-to-door ticket sales.
Membership costs $ 50 per year, allowing members to enjoy 11 quality films in the company of other moviegoers.
In 2022, the films will be screened the first week of each month from February to December, Tuesdays at the Victa Cinema, Wednesdays at Centenary Hall Goolwa and Fridays at the Milang Institute.
