Taste Of The UWS Festival Returns With Over 60 Local Restaurants

UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — A food festival that highlights the best of the Upper West Side restaurant scene returns for its 14th year, organizers announced late last week.

Taste of the Upper West Side will take place September 30 and October 1 under a tent in the playground that hosts the Grand Bazaar NYC Marketplace on Columbus Avenue between West 76th and 77th Streets.

The festival, which features more than 60 UWS restaurants this year, will be split into two nights — “Farewell to Summer” on September 30 and “Autumn Ball” on October 1.

Here is the summary for each night:

“Goodbye Summer”

“Farewell to Summer kicks off our 14th annual two-night foodie event with much-anticipated restaurant and bar debuts, along with long-time local favorites, including over 30 popular eateries featuring favorites On the menu. As always, there will be the ultimate confectioners’ corner, as well as unlimited wine, spirits and music, centered around innovative seasonal dishes.”

“Autumn Ball”

“Autumn Ball presented by Park West Village wraps up our 14th annual two-night foodie event with even more anticipated restaurant and bar debuts, plus long-time local favorites, including over 30 popular eateries cooking favorites on the menu. As always, there will be the ultimate pastry chef’s corner, with unlimited wine, spirits and music, centered around innovative seasonal dishes.”

Other participating restaurants are also to be announced for the second day of the festival.

A handful of restaurants, including El Fish Shack and Friend of a Farmer, aren’t even open in the neighborhood yet.

General admission tickets for both nights are $110, while VIP tickets for either night are $165.

The festival is organized by the Columbus Avenue Business Improvement District (BID).
