Texas Rangers to showcase local restaurants at games this season

MLB opening day has arrived for baseball fans and to celebrate, the Texas Rangers are offering new concessions.

In conjunction with restaurant and retail partner Delaware North, the Rangers announced various additions to the Globe Life Field hospitality program. New specialty food items and expanded amenities were announced along with new spaces.

The first of these new “welcome spaces” is Arlington Eats, which will host local restaurants on weekends and during special events. Located in Globe Life Section 101, Hurtado Barbecue Co. will be the first local restaurant for the first two home games on April 11-12 in addition to a few days in mid-May, followed by Ella B’s April 15-17 and Lebanese Prince Grill from April 29-31.

421 Food Hall is the next addition, a nod to the Rangers’ first-ever home game at Arlington on April 21, 1972. This location will be located in the Upper Lobby and will feature buffet meals as well as a lounge exclusive for season ticket holders.

Delaware North’s latest addition is High Bar, a cocktail bar next door to 421 Food Hall. The High Bar will serve specialty cocktails, with canapes, lounge chairs, side chairs, and a mix of high and traditional tables.

Delaware North’s Casey Rapp says the 2022 season will also feature “creative twists on fan favorites — with an array of regional flavors and products.”

New additions to the menu include the Alligator Corn Dog: alligator sausage hand-dipped in corn dog batter and fried. The Fried Chicken Breast Sandwich is made from Nolan Ryan’s smoked-in-house, hand-battered and deep-fried beef brisket. Finally, they will also have beef brisket rolls, which were created by a Rangers fan in 2020 as part of a recipe competition.

Vegans can also expect more options: a vegan bratwurst and a vegan chicken salad. The first is an Impossible Vegan Bratwurst served on a locally baked fresh vegan roll with grilled onions. The latter is like a classic chicken salad sandwich made with vegan “chicken”.

Fans will be able to take advantage of these new concessions and hospitality spaces during the Rangers’ home opener on Monday, April 10 at 3:05 p.m. against the Colorado Rockies.
