The Windsor International Film Festival has launched a call for submissions from local films to be considered for the 2022 festival lineup.

An independent jury of film professionals will select all the “local” films presented at the festival. Films will be selected based on their quality and originality and their ability to contribute significantly to the overall success of WIFF 2022.

Fiction and documentary features of 50 minutes or more and short films of less than 20 minutes will be considered.

Submissions are open now and the deadline is August 11, 2022. Selected entrants will be notified by September 30, 2022.

The 2022 festival will run from Thursday, October 27 to Sunday, November 6, 2022, WIFF’s first-ever 11-day festival.
